CEB proposes third tariff hike for 2023, PUCSL invites public representations

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has decided to seek public opinion regarding another revision of electricity tariffs later this year proposed by the Ceylon Electricity Board.

IPUCSL said the CEB proposal can be accessed by visiting the website www.pucsl.gov.lk and called for written comments and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders up to Oct. 18.

An oral stakeholder consultation on the subject will be held at the BMICH on Oct. 18, PUCSL said. Colombo.Those interested in participating in the stakeholder consultation have been advised to register by calling 071 862 2800.

This stakeholder consultation is conducted in terms of the powers assigned to the Commission under Section 17 of the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission Act No. 35 of 2002.
