CEA to file action against Loggalla Oya forest rapists

The Central Environmental Authority (CEA) would file a case against those responsible for destroying sections the Loggalla Oya forest, Environment Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe said yesterday.

The Environment Ministry intervened to stop the destruction of the Loggalla Oya following media reports. Dr. Jasinghe said he had instructed the Central Environmental Authority, the Mahaweli Authority and the relevant Grama Niladharis to look into the matter.
