CDB donates medical equipment to District General Hospital Gampaha

Citizens Development Business Finance PLC has come forward to donate Rs. 10 million worth medical equipment urgently required by the Gampaha District General Hospital including ventilators and monitors for its Intensive Care Unit, in addition to other vital equipment.

The company immediately responded to the urgent request made by Dr Priyantha Illeperuma, Director of District General Hospital Gampaha for medical equipment for the ICU. The company also donated, syringe pumps, infusion pumps, Multipara monitors, and Modified Scuba diving masks to aid the hospital in its efforts against the pandemic.

Last year CDB donated Rs.10Mn towards developing a quarantine center in view of being prepared for a possible spike in COVID cases in Sri Lanka. The funds for the center were presented to Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operation Center for Prevention of Covid 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
