CCC School of Cricket 25th overseas tour

Under 15 Team

Sri Lanka’s premier cricket coaching school under veteran coach Nelson Mendis, will be making their 25th Cricket Tour abroad when their Under-12 and Under -15 teams take wings to Bangalore, India on the 10th April 2024.

During the tour, they are scheduled to play eight matches, against coaching academies and clubs in Bangalore. All matches will be played on turf wickets and will provide the younger cricketers much needed exposure.

The Under – 15 team will be captained by experienced batter Omith Ratnayake, who plays for Nalanda College, while his deputy will be Nadew Dodamgoda, a left-arm orthodox spinner, also from Nalanda College.

The Under – 12 team will have another Nalanda College junior cricketer – Nadil Dodamgoda, who has done extremely well at Inter-Academy Tournaments with his left-arm medium fast bowling. He is also a top order batter with a series of high scores recently. His deputy will be Rashindu Jayasinghe, another talented all-rounder, who opens batting and bowls right-arm off spin. He represents, St. Benedict’s College, Colombo.

Tour Officials are Nelson Mendis (Chief-de-Mission), Harsha Peiris (Manager), Shivalingam Ravichandra (Asst. Manager) and Thusara Hitige (Coach).

U-15 team comprises

Omith Rathnayake (Capt), Nadew Dodamgoda (V.Capt), Bashitha Herath, Mokitha Kankanamge, Sithuka Alwis, Andrea Wijeratne, Suhas Samarasekara, Thenuka Ratnayake, Shenal Kuruwita, Sajana Perera, Govinda Chandratilleke, Navindu Kumara, Lankanath Algama, Shenal Kankanige, and Jonathan Kanakaraj.

U-12 Team

Nadil Dodamgoda (Capt), Rashindu Jayasinghe (Vice Capt), Lindula Kapurubandara, Dimuth Wickremasinghe, Rehan Kollurge, Bomiya Udage, Lewindu Wickremarachchi, Pamok Wijenayake, Sangeeth Singhapura, Thevindu Chandratilleke, Yensith Perera, Sandaru Perera, Dilshan Timbiripola, Pemitha Ratnayake.
