CASA conducts their 54th Annual General Meeting

CASA, the voice of the shipping industry held their Annual General Meeting on 26th August at Shangri-La Colombo. Rohitha Abegunawardhane, Minister of Ports & Shipping participated in the event as chief guest.

Kamal Gunaratne ,Secretary Ministry of Defense; Admiral (Prof.) Jayanath Colombage ,Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs; General Daya Ratnayake, Chairman Sri Lanka Ports Authority; Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva – Chief of Defense Staff and Commander of the Sri Lanka Army; Senior Officials of the Sri Lanka Navy; Major General(Retd.) Vijitha Ravipriya, Director General of Customs; Ajith Seneviratne Director General of Merchant Shipping; Romesh David Chief Executive Officer of South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Ltd ; Ray Ren Chief Executive Officer of Hambantota International Port Group; Jack Huang Chief Executive Officer of Colombo International Container Terminals Ltd graced the occasion.

Officials from industry stakeholder associations and companies, terminals, ports and a large number of CASA members attended the AGM and the reception that followed.

Iqram Cuttilan, Managing Director of Aitken Spence Shipping Ltd was elected as Chairman for a second term, Mrs. Shehara Jayawardana, Group Joint Managing Director of McLarens Shipping Ltd was elected as Vice Chairperson for a second term. M.I.S. Sabar, Group Director of Hayleys Advantis Limited will also continue a second term as the Treasurer being elected so.
