Car carrying 18 kilos of ganja intercepted, one arrested

Acting on a tip-off, the Army on Saturday (April 01) arrested a person transporting 18 kilos of ganja at Idikaadu in Jaffna peninsula. A senior military official said that troops had stopped the car driven by the suspect and taken him into custody together with the stock of cannabis. Later, the Army handed over the suspect to Achchuveli police for further investigations.
