Canadian HC: SL sets gold standard for political humour

Canadian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka David McKinnon has expressed his views regarding the current status of Sri Lankan politics through a satirical tweet.

“Everyday I am reminded that #SriLanka sets the gold standard for political humour. Maybe there’s a way to monetize this as an export? @TheDailyShow,” High Commissioner McKinnon tweeted.

The High Commissioner also tagged the popular US political comedy show “The Daily Show”, ironically questioning if there is a way to monetize the political humour as an export.
