CAKE conducts latest #TakeCare initiative
CAKE Engineering, a Mad Mobile company, recently concluded a clothing and toy drive, in partnership with the Rotaract Club of Colombo North (RACCN), as part of its first #TakeCare Initiative for the year. The programme looked to address various external needs of the society in which the business operates within.
The organization’s commitment to its community is rooted in its slogan, ‘reimagine the future’, where this programme being one of the many steps taken to live up to that promise across the year.
Commenting on the initiative, Senior Manager, Branding and Communications, Nishan de Silva Wijeyeratne, said, “at Mad Mobile, we believe in the power of giving back to the communities we operate within. Our #TakeCare Initiative is an expression of this belief, and through such efforts, we aim to reimagine the future by creating a positive impact on the lives of those in need”. He further went on to say, “with the rising cost of living impacting many across Sri Lanka, this initiative is dedicated to providing vital items to disadvantaged individuals and bring joy to children”.
This programme was made possible by the generous donations made by the employees at CAKE Engineering and carried out in two phases – the first being a toy drive with donations made to the Chitra Lane School for the Special Child, and the second a clothing drive with donations made to three deserving orphanages in Sri Lanka – Boys Industrial Home, Delkhanda Balika Nivasa, and Prithipura Infants Home.
