The Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to the proposal submitted by the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security to permit the private sector to import 50,000 metric tons of GR 11 rice category (similar to Keeri Samba) with the intention of providing the consumer with a price advantage.
