Cabinet nod for free sanitary pads to needy female students

The Cabinet has approved a proposal to provide sanitary pads free of charge annually from April 2024 to 800,000 needy female students.

The Information Department has, in a media statement, said the total student population in Sri Lanka amounted to four million and out of them 1.2 million were female students who had attained puberty.
