Bus plunges down precipice, injuring 28

A veered off the road and plunged down a precipice near the Nelligala International Buddhist Centre, injuring 28 persons, on Saturday.The victims were residents of Moratuwa on their way to the Nelligala International Buddhist Centre.

The Police said that some of the injured had been admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital and six of them were in a critical condition.The accident took place around 3.30 pm, police said.
