Buddhists must visit temple regularly – PM

It must be made mandatory for Buddhists to visit the temple at least once or twice a week, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said yesterday addressing a gathering at the Sri Sunandarama Pirivena, Madampe.

“If not, they should at least visit the temple on Poya Day. Children should be sent to dhamma school.

Young people must be given guidance and the temple can play a major role in that, the PM said.
