Brenda…back in the spotlight

Singer Brenda Mendis has been around for quite a while, performing with some of our top bands.

I got to know about her singing capabilities, when she was with Aquarius, years ago, and doing her thing, upfront, with two female singers from the Philippines.

They were quite a drawcard, then, and their stage act created a lot of excitement.

Well, the scene has changed, for Brenda, since her days with Aquarius, and she now has her own band, I’m told.

However, with the local live entertainment scene no longer in existence, Brenda has worked on a couple of tracks, for her fans, and music lovers, while relaxing at home.

The tracks are:

‘Sitha Igili Gihin,’ with lyrics by Chandradasa Fernando, music by Thisara Bandara, and mixed and mastered by Sandaru Gamage.

‘Me Nilwan Nimnaye,’ with lyrics by Kularathna Ariyawansa, music by Mahinda Bandara, and mixed and mastered by Sandaru Gamage.

Probably, there will be more music, from this talented singer, during this ‘stay at home’ period.
