Blood donation campaign & alms giving at BMICH
The BMICH, Sri Lanka’s iconic landmark, recently organized a religious ceremony followed by a blood donation campaign in commemoration of its founders, the late Prime Minister S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike, the late Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike and former Cabinet Minister and Speaker of Parliament, Anura Bandaranaike to invoke blessings for the protection of the institution, its employees, their families and the country from Covid-19.
With well-wishers and BMICH staff signing up, the initiative progressed well at a time many people are in need of blood”, says Sunil Dissanayake, CEO of the BMICH.
The chanting of ‘Rathana Suthraya’ followed by an alms giving for Buddhist monks were also part of the ceremonies.
BMICH is Sri Lanka’s largest and Asia’s very first purpose-built convention center with ultra-modern facilities.
