Birthday surprises!

Cherrie Chamari, who enjoys the showbiz setup, in Melbourne, Australia, with her band Be Sharp, celebrated her birthday last Wednesday, August 10th.

The celebrations took the form of an outing to Novotel where lots of surprises awaited the birthday girl, including a scrumptious dinner, and the cutting of the birthday cake.

Cherrie, who started her musical career, in Colombo, with the band Dreamteam, was delighted with the many special birthday messages that came her way.

Her daughter had this to say:

“Happiest birthday to the most beautiful mum ever. I want to say thank you for everything and how grateful I am to have you as mum. Today is your day and I hope you have an amazing one! I love you forever and always.”

And Cherrie has this to say to all who remembered her, on August 10th:

“Huge thanks to all my dear friends, family, and fans, for your lovely wishes. You made my day very special. Sorry if I couldn’t respond to each and every single one but I read them all. Love you all.”
