Bird sightings in Jaffna as migratory season kicks off

The migratory bird season this year has come to Jaffna with large number of species of migratory birds are seen in lagoons and beach areas. Many birdwatchers both foreign and local visit various spots in Jaffna lagoon and the beach areas in and around Arali, Urkavathurai and Mankumban to witness the very unusual and beautiful sight. The tour guides state that these migratory birds will keep coming in waves till June second week.
