Big surprise!

Sheru, who was in the spotlight last week, and now performing in the Maldives, where her brother is the Vice President, sent us a note of appreciation for the article which appeared in “Star Track,” in The Island of January 5th.

And this is what the entertaining singer had to say:

‘I was surprised and happy to see my article in your very popular music page. I know you surprise many, with your great articles, but this was a BIG surprise, to me, indeed.

“Your music page makes very interesting reading and I never miss to check it out. And, I know of several others who wait impatiently for the Tuesday Island to keep abreast of the latest happenings in the music scene.

“I also wish to add that I owe my early success, as a singer, to Sajith and his group N-Chord.

“I was going through some difficult times when he encouraged me to pursue my singing career, and Sajith and N-Chord gave me the confidence I needed.”

Sajith is now with Aquarius while N-Chord is no more, as a group.

Sheru also mentioned that she would continue to work, in the Maldives, performing, and would return to Colombo once the showbiz scene improves.
