The Old Boys’ Union of St. Benediet’s College has launched a project for the benefit of past teachers, titled “NAMADIMU”

Project “NAMADIMU” includes a life insurance cover, a monthly monetary donation, an annual medical checkup and a counseling clinic among many more special benefits, for 55 retired teachers in both the primary and secondary divisions of the college since 1960.

The blessings received from the Director of the College, Rev. Bro. Dr. Pubudu Rajapakse, FSC, towards this project was an immense strength to the Old Boy’s Union. This project was accelerated, within a short period of three months, in spite of the current difficult times due to the Covid pandemic, thanks to the generous donations received from the Benedictine Fraternity domiciled here and abroad. The agreement for the Life Insurance cover was signed with Softlogic Insurance.

On behalf of the Old Boy’s Union, this project was jointly coordinated by Dharshaka Fernando and Marlon Perera under the able guidance of the General Secretary Priyal Perera.

Those within the Benedictine Fraternity wishing to obtain further information or contribute towards this project, could email to bensobusrilanka@gmail.com, log onto www.bensobu.lk or call Project Chairman Mr Darshaka Fernando 0773 – 853 322 or OBU Office 2 444 461.
