Beetroot
* Bright and Pink Complexion:
Method:
Grate a beetroot slice and apply on your entire face and neck. Leave this for 10-15 minutes before washing it off. If used regularly, this mask will give you a natural pinkish glow..
* Dark Circles:
Dark circles and puffy eyes are a very common problem in today’s lightning-fast life. Well, you can do away with that oh-so-exhausted look and dull appearance by regularly applying beetroot juice. It will not only fade away the dark circles and relieve eye bags, but will also retrieve you from the stress at home or work.
Method:
Take a cotton ball and soak it in beetroot juice, mixed with honey and milk. Close your eyes and give a nice coating all over, including the eyelids. Leave for 10 minutes and wash off with cold water.
* Dark Lips:
If your lips are flaky, chapped or losing their moisture; beetroot is ‘the solution’. It not only makes your lips naturally appealing but healthier, too. Beetroot acts as a natural reddish stain which gives a rosy colour to your pretty pout.
Method:
Apply a generous amount of beetroot juice onto your lips. You can also mix grated beetroot with sugar to exfoliate your lips. This will remove all dead skin and dark stains (caused due to coffee, tea, smoking, etc.) and leave your lips soft and luscious.
* Hair Loss:
Mineral deficiency is by far the most common cause of hair loss, and beetroot fixes that. High in potassium, electrolytes and iron, it helps repair the limp and lifeless hair and reduces the chances of breakage. In short, beetroot provides all the essential minerals and nutrients required to tackle hair fall and damage.
Method:
You can try beetroot as a hair mask, as well as a hair rinse. Both the processes have equal impact to improve the overall health of the hair. For hair wash, you can warm the juice, to a comfortable temperature, and work it through your hair, till the roots. Whereas, for hair mask you can mix ground coffee seeds with beetroot juice or pulp. The same mixture also works as a good hair conditioner. Just rub the paste well before you shampoo your hair. Your hair will emerge smooth and lustrous.
* Smooth Silky Skin:
Beetroot is a natural remedy to make your skin butter-smooth and silky, and that, too, without any greasy feel.
Method:
All you need to do is grind one beetroot with two spoons of curd. You can also add a little almond oil to this mix. Apply the mixture to your face or body. Massage and then leave the paste for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with cold water and feel the change.
