Bathiudeen complains of chest pain, admitted to National Hospital

SJB MP Rishad Bathiudeen, in the custody of the CID, was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital yesterday.

Police Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said that MP Bathiudeen had told CID officers that he was not feeling well. The CID was to record a statement from the MP yesterday over his underage domestic help’s death due to burn injuries.

MP Bathiudeen was taken to the Outpatient Department of the Colombo National Hospital.

Upon being examined by the doctors, the MP was admitted to the cardiology unit as he complained of a chest pain, the Police Spokesman said.
