Back in October…with surprises!

Guitar wizard Shafi and his daughter Jana, the father and daughter combination, taking the spotlight as ‘Shafi and Jana’, have been playing at a fine dining restaurant, at a high-end resort in the Maldives, for the last two years .

Yes, they do miss Sri Lanka, their family, friends, and music lovers, and they plan to return home, in October, this year…with surprises!

Shafi says they have been successfully entertaining people from all over the world and that is precisely why they have been doing that particular scene, in the Maldives, for two years.

“I would like to say that this is an unforgettable experience for me to have my eldest daughter by my side. I can’t think of performing without my baby girl. And, of course I miss the rest of my family very much.

“We are coming back to Sri Lanka, in October, to continue working together at venues in Colombo and outside.”

Shafi also added that they are going to record original music…”and we are going to do a lot on that side of our music….”

What’s more, Shafi says they have a few surprises for their fans…”and we are waiting to share it when we come back.”
