Avocados are not only healthy, and delicious, but this super food also makes a great addition to your regular beauty regimen! Yes, you can make your skin and hair glow…with this fruit.

* Facial Mask:

Mash up half of an avocado, liquidize the other half, mix it together, and slather it on your face. Relax for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off.

* Hair Mask:

Remove the insides of a medium sized avocado and mash it up well, or put it in a blender to make it super smooth. Stir in half a teaspoon of olive oil and the yolk of one egg. Apply the mask to your hair, making sure to work it in, all the way from root to tip. Let it sit for 25 minutes. Rinse well, shampoo and condition as usual.

* Moisturizer:

Avocados contain tons of natural oils that can help combat the driest patches. Gently rub the inner side of an avocado peel on your (previously washed and dried) skin. Let that sit for at least 15 minutes, and then splash your skin with water and gently wash it away.

*Exfoliating Scrub:

Try this exfoliating scrub on your roughest spots. Mix 3-4 teaspoons oatmeal (made from ground oats), one egg white, and one teaspoon lemon juice with a mashed half of a medium sized avocado. Smooth it on and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse and dry.

* Healthy Proteins…

Cut the avocado in half and just eat it. Avocado has a large amount of healthy proteins, minerals, fats, and oils that will help your hair shine and your skin glow, from the inside out.
