Authentic international flavours 24/7 at Plates

The newest concept in fine dining was launched at the Cinnamon Grand.  More so fine dining  with the piquancy of authentic flavours of each country. Meaning you don’t have to go far. Here in Colombo; at the Cinnamon Grand, that’s as far as you need  go. At the opening of Plates, the hotel’s 24-hour restaurant recently, it was said you could sample very nearly the best of international cuisine: Italy;  pasta carbonara, panzenella, caprese  salad with pesto sauce.   France: chicken marengo,  jambon- beurre, pain de campagne, poulet chasseur; such were the choices.

Additionally  a spread  of delicious  Sri Lankan  cuisine. Also on hand, Arabic,  Far Eastern, Mediterranean, Japanese; with these choices it was hard to leave, but then  with the girth  growing to unimaginable  circumferences, it was time to go, with every intention of being back for more shortly.

General Manager, Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Kamal Munasinghe introducing ‘Plates’ said the new restaurant offers a place for guests to come together, and experience a wide variety of international flavours  24 hours each day. The ambience, décor, have all been put together to support the right atmosphere for guests to relax yet enjoy camaraderie in a convivial setting to make the best of the meal with selected  company.

The fresh new look developed with interiors of the restaurant  relates to the  choice of cuisine, complemented   by an extensive range of beverages, including wines and cocktails.

Whether its breakfast, lunch, dinner,  a special children’s menu or all day a la carte menu ‘Plates’ recipes are specially put together for gourmet enjoyment.

The General Manager said buffets always legendary at Cinnamon Grand, specially, at ‘Plates’, is the zenith for taste and atmosphere unequalled in the city for variety and authenticity.
