The Athletics Championship of the All Island Schools Games commenced at the Sugathadasa Stadium on Monday. Here are some action pictures from day one.

Maheshi Kulasekara of Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy cleared a distance of 31.13 metres to win the Under 16 girls’ discus throw.
Oshini Kodikara of St. Lawrence’s Convent, Wellawatta in action in the Under 18 girls’ triple jump.

H.P.D.S. Kumara who won the Under 18 boys’ javelin throw makes an attempt.
