AstraZeneca second dose here this week

AstraZeneca vaccines would arrive this week and it would be made available to everyone who had received their first dose from the same vaccine, Regional Epidemiologist – City of Colombo, Dinu Guruge told the media yesterday.

“Everyone who got their first doses at a CMC venue will get an SMS and others should wait for instructions from the Ministry of Health,” she said.

Dr. Guruge said that they were trying their best to vaccinate everyone as soon as possible and urged those in eligible categories to get to the nearest vaccination centre.

“Please wear a mask, wash/ sanitize hands often and avoid crowded places,” she said.
