Asela Wavita elected president of CHSGA

The Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association (CHSGA) marked its Golden Anniversary celebrations by holding its 50TH Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually at the Water’s Edge on 16th October 2021.

Asela Wavita was elected President of the Association for the term 2021/22 at the AGM.

Asela is a graduate of Ceylon Hotel School and School of Tourism (presently, Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management-SLITHM).

He is an experienced hospitality professional and the General Manager of Victoria Golf and Country Resort, Kandy.

A product of the Kandy Campus of SLITHM / CHS, he was the first from the Kandy campus to be elected to the position. He took over the reins from Priyal Perera.

Meanwhile, Patrick Perera and Gitanjali Chakravarty were elected as Vice Presidents while Irandi Wijegunawardane was appointed as General Secretary and Dinesh Hettiarachchi as Treasurer of the Association.
