Asela bags 16 wickets as Tissa win

Off spinner Nadun Asela bagged 16 wickets including a nine-wicket haul in the second innings to lead Tissa Central to an innings and 17 runs victory against Siri Piyaratana College, Padukka in the Under 19 Division II cricket encounter at Kalutara on Friday.

After restricting the visitors to 136 runs to enforce the follow on, Asela bowled the bulk of the overs (22) in the second innings and grabbed nine wickets to seal the victory with a session remaining. Commencing the second innings with a deficit of 138 runs, Siri Piyaratana were bowled out for 121 runs.While Hirusha Nethsara top scored with 100 runs, Shareen Dhananjaya and Tenushka Nanayakkara contributed with half centuries for the winners.
