Army Seva Vanitha Unit distributes dry rations to families in ‘Vikumpura’ village

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage and President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Janaki Liyanage distributed parcels of dry rations to thirty six (36) families residing in  ‘Vikumpura’ village on Friday (29).

The ‘Vikumpura’ village formerly known as ‘Narikadu’ village and was established when the present Commander of the Army was the commander of the 542 Infantry Brigade. In gratitude to the service rendered to the village by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage the villagers were instrumental in renaming the village as ‘Vikumpura’
