Arava recognised at Presidential Export Awards as Emerging Exporter of the Year 2020/21
Arava Private Limited, a leading exporter of coconut-based products received the “Emerging Exporter 2020-2021” Award at the Presidential Export Awards organized by the Export Development Board Sri Lanka (EDB).
The flagship event of EDB, which has helped many of Sri Lankan exporters to reach global market in terms of productivity and value creation, was recently held at the BMICH where President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was the chief guest. Asiri Gurusinghe, Chairman & Founder, Arava (Pvt) Ltd received this prestigious presidential award from the President.
Presently the company manufactures 10 – 12 product range made out of coconut based products coir fiber bales, cocopeat, grow bags, cut coco fibre and husk chips to name a few, which is exported to over 46 countries around the world covering seven continents.
Having commenced on a small-scale in 2013, Arava (Pvt) Ltd has come a long way to become a leading exporter that now exports a substantial number of containers annually. In addition to having established two subsidiary companies related to export services, today the company owns three fully-fledged manufacturing plants with a workforce exceeding 350. As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, Arava (Pvt) Ltd is focused on manufacturing and exporting high quality unique products from Sri Lanka.

Initiating from coir based products, we have also broadened our portfolio towards other value added products in building a Sri Lankan brand in the world.
