Anuthmi shines with gold in Taiji at All Island School Games

Anuthmi Gamage (16), representing the Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo 05, clinched the gold medal in the under-18 girls’ category of Taijiquan and Taijijian at the All-Island School Games, Wushu Championship-2023. The tournament, organized by the Ministry of Education, took place from September 23 to 25 at the Digana Sports Complex in Kandy.

Anuthmi Gamage’s remarkable achievement was highlighted by her impressive score of 16.5, translating to an average of 82.5%. This outstanding performance placed her at the top of her category, showcasing her prowess in the art of Taiji.

She received her certificate and gold medal from Ajith Atapattu, the secretary of the School Wushu Federation.
