Another State Minister quits

Jathika Nidahas Peramuna (JNP) lawmaker Jayantha Samaraweera yesterday (08) tendered his resignation from his post as the State Minister of Warehouse Facilities, Container Yards, Port Supply Facilities and Boats and Shipping Industry Development.

The move follows President Gotabaya Rajapaksa sacking JNP Leader Wimal Weerawansa from the Trade Minister portfolio. The JNP parliamentary group comprises six members, including one National List nominee, Mohammed Muzammil.
