Dilshara Jayamanna’s film “Yaaluwoda Yaaluida” will be screened in Cineworld nationally in the UK from July 21. Eraj Gunewardane and Shereen Willis are introduced in this film playing the lead roles in the film alongside Saranga Disasekara, Yureni Noshika and Dinakshie Priyasad.

This film produced by Rasitha Jinasena challenges traditional norms by putting high-end fashion at the forefront. The film also sheds light on their engagement with pop culture and music.

It also achieves a notable first in Sinhala cinema, featuring an anime sequence designed by Sejini Ratnayake. This artistic addition adds to the film’s uniqueness and sets a record as the first Sinhala film to incorporate anime.

Another milestone achieved by the film is the inclusion of an electronic dance music track titled “Tharunai.” This marks the first time a Sri Lankan Sinhala film has embraced the electronic dance music genre, solidifying its commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing new artistic expressions.

“Yaaluwoda Yaaluida” is screened after award-winning film director Prasanna Withanage’s latest film “Gaadi” (Children of the Sun) was successfully screened on the Cineworld cinema circuit. This was the first time a Sri Lankan film was released nationwide in the UK. The distributor of these films is Inidi Entertainment Ltd in London.
