Another consignment of Pfizer vaccine arrives

Another consignment of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine purchased by the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) arrived early yesterday, State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof Channa Jayasumana said.
The latest consignment containing 31,590 doses of the vaccine was flown to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport from The Netherlands, through Doha, aboard a Qatar Airways cargo flight QR-668 that arrived at around 2.30 am.
The consignment of vaccines was immediately transported from the airport to the Central Storage Complex by trucks of the Sri Lanka Pharmaceuticals Corporation with special refrigeration facilities, the Minister said.
