Anjalika to meet Janali in the final  

Anjalika Kurera will meet Janali Manamperi in the women’s singles final of the Tennis Nationals 2021 after the two players won their semi-finals of the championship at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Friday.

Kurera beat Neyara Weerawansa 6-2, 6-0 in her semi-final to meet Manamperi, who reached her third straight women’s singles final of the Tennis Nationals.

Kurera was the winner when these two met in the 2019 final where the Ave Maria Convent player secured a 6-1, 6-0 win.

In the men’s singles, defending champion Yasitha de Silva registered a 7-5, 6-2 win over Luka Knese to reach the final. The MAS Holdings player will meet Chathurya Nilaweera in the final.

Nilaweera edged out Thehan Wijemanne 7-6, 6-4 in his match.
