Amendment of Anti – Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act, No. 2 of 2018 and the Safeguard Measures Act No. 3 of 2018 to be gazetted

The Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to the resolution furnished by the President to publish the draft bills for Anti – Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act, No. 2 of 2018 and the Safeguard Measures Act No. 3 of 2018 in the government gazette notification and subsequently forward the same to the Parliament for its concurrence.

The requirement to introduce corresponding amendments to Anti – Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act, No. 2 of 2018 and the Safeguard Measures Act No. 3 of 2018 has been recognized when preparing the Economic Transformation draft bill. The applicable draft bills have been prepared by the Legal Draftsmen and the clearance of the Attorney General has been granted to those draft bills.
