Amami Brand celebrates 30 years of success and expansion
Amami Brand recently commemorated its 30th anniversary in a modest celebration held at the Amami factory premises in Kadawatha. The brand, which initially started by providing air fresheners for Hotel Lanka Oberoi in the 1980s, has grown significantly over the years and now boasts an extensive portfolio of products including air fresheners, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, glycerin soap, detergents, Ayurvedic, and natural herbal products.
Rani De Silva, the Founder of Amami, expressed his gratitude to his staff, customers, and consumers for their unwavering support throughout the brand’s journey. He acknowledged the significant milestone of maintaining a successful business in Sri Lanka for three decades and attributed their accomplishments to the brand’s commitment to providing high-quality and hygienic air fresheners and amenity kits to tourists.
As Amami looks towards the future, De Silva has entrusted the responsibilities of the business to his daughter, Harshala, and son, Ranuka, who will operate under his guidance. He also acknowledged the tremendous support and strength provided by his wife, Dr. Priyani De Silva, throughout the brand’s journey.
