Aluth Pola fundraiser for animal welfare on July 9
The Aluth Pola, a Justice for Animals pop-up fundraiser market will take place on Sunday July 9th from 10:00am – 6pm at Body Bar, located at No 3 Jawatte Avenue, Colombo 05, the organizers said.
Justice for Animals is a registered non-profit animal welfare organization whose core program is rabies eradication through humane population control with a goal to reduce starving, injured, sick homeless cats and dogs and prevent future suffering.
The July 2023 Aluth Pola features more than 30 small local startups, most of which are run by women, and two children’s charities – Emerge and the RCCI. The Aluth Pola offers registered charities free tables as we understand the struggle to raise funds and continue our impactful work.
“Please visit The Aluth Pola and support our cause. You will also be supporting local vendors who will be showcasing their work including; plants, books, lamprais, baked goods, handcrafted jewellery, art, clothing and so much more”, the organizers said.
Justice for Animals has, since 2020, spay-neutered over 9,000 dogs and cats and vaccinated 14,000, providing one of the largest spay-neuter-vaccinate-treat programs by a locally funded animal welfare group in Sri Lanka.
