Airforce down Army by eight wickets in final

Inter Club Women’s T10 Cricket Tournament 

Airforce downed Army by eight wickets    in the final of the Inter Club Women’s T10 Cricket Tournament played at the University of Colombo Ground on Sunday and  took home the ‘Nippon Paint Trophy’ and many more awards.

Roshini Perera  and Ayesha Sandamali contributed with the bat to help Army post 80/4 in their 10 overs while Dilani Manodara 35 not out and Inoshi Fernando 17 not out took the game away from the soldiers with three balls to spare.

In the semifinals Airforce defeated  Sky women’s team and Army defeated Seenigama ladies to reach the final.

Chamari Polgampola was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament while Dilani Manodara was named the Best Fielder, player who scored most boundaries in the final and Player of the final.

Airforce 83/2 in 9.3 overs
