Air Force Sports Club did well to come from behind and record a well deserved 17-15 victory in their A Division Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament match played at Ratmalana on Friday (December 8). The winners who were trailing 12-10 half time bounced back to surprise the visiting team in the end of a well contested game of rugby.

On Saturday (December 9) high-ridding Ceylonese Rugby & Football Club recorded a massive 19 points to six win over hosts Police Sports Club at Police Park. This is CR & FC’s second win for the season. On the same day at Panagoda reigning champions Kandy SC outplayed Army Sports Club by 33 points to 14. This also marked Kandy SC’s second win for the season.

All teams completed their quota of matches during the second week of the tournament, which is organised and conducted by Sri Lanka Rugby. The tournament is sponsored by Nippon Paint.
