Air Force hands over third batch of organic fertiliser produced by it to Lak Pohora

The Organic Fertiliser Project personnel at SLAF Regiment Training School, Vanni, recently handed over the third batch of organic fertilizer weighing 20 metric tonnes to the Ceylon Fertiliser Company Limited (Lak Pohora). Air Force Headquarters said that altogether 45 MT of organic fertiliser had been handed over to the Ceylon Fertiliser Company Ltd., so far. This was in line with the Government organic fertiliser production drive on the directives of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.

The production process at the SLAF Regiment Training School, Vanni is supervised by the Command Agro Unit, SLAF Base Katunayake to ensure that the product meets the required quality standards prescribed by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Commanding Officer SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni, Group Captain Nishantha Priyadarshana handed over the stock of organic fertiliser to Vavuniya District Marketing Executive of Ceylon Fertiliser Company Limited for distribution among the farmer community.
