Advisory for heavy rain over 100mm, issued for Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Northern and Northwestern provinces

An advisory for heavy rain issued by the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre at 11.30 a.m. 04 December 2023, valid until 11.30 a.m. 05 December 2023

The natural hazards early warning centre of the Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for the  Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Northern and Northwestern provinces as the prevailing showery condition over the South-western parts of the island is likely to continue further due to the indirect effect of the cyclone MICHAUNG.

Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the above provinces
