Adaikalanathan: TNA talks with govt. on Tamil people’s welfare, but no secret deals
By Dinasena Ratugamage
The TNA was holding discussions with the government on solving the issues faced by the Tamil people, TNA MP Selvam Adaikalanathan told the media yesterday.
However, there were no secret agreements between the two sides, he added.
The MP made this statement in response to allegations made by Tamil politicians that the TNA had reached an understanding with the government.
“We have had talks with the government on issues faced by Northerners due to the pandemic. We have raised many issues about problems faced by workers, fishermen and farmers. We will meet the government representatives soon again to discuss the release of Tamil political prisoners,” he added.
