Gayanthika Abeyratne leads the women’s 1,500 metres.

The 47th National Sports Festival concluded on Saturday with Nadeesha Ramanayake and Danuka Dharshana bagging the best athlete titles in the women’s and men’s categories respectively.

Here are some action pictures from the final day.

Nadeesha Ramanayake leads the final lap of the women’s 4×400 metres relay final after taking the baton from Gayanthika Abeyratne. Ramanayake and Abeyratne earned Southern Province many points during the three-day meet.
Janindu Lakvijaya renewed the men’s 110 metres hurdles meet record twice.
Wathsala Herath won both the women’s 5,000 metres and the 10,000 metres.
P.A.P. Maduranga was the winner of the men’s 10,000 metres.
Chamod Yodasinghe wins the men’s 100 metres.
Chamal Kumarasiri established a new meet record in the men’s triple jump.
Safiya Yamic won the gold medal in the women’s 100 metres.
