Nethra Samadi of Vijitha Central College, Dickwella clears the bar in the Under 16 girls’ high jump. She cleared 1.66 metres to win.

The Junior National Athletics Championships conducted by Sri Lanka Athletics continued despite inclement weather conditions at Diyagama yesterday. Here are some action pictures from day three.

Pawan Induwara of St. Joseph Vaz’s College, Wennappuwa clinched the gold in the Under 16 boys’ javelin throw with a throw of 52.43 metres.
Sadeepa Irosh of St. Joseph Vaz’s College, Wennappuwa cleared 56 metres to win the Under 18 Men’s Javelin Throw.
Thanishia Joanna cleared 5.43 metres to win the Under 23 women’s long jump.
Inura Kavishan Piyasiri of Sri Lanka Army competes in the Under 23 Men’s long jump.
Nayana Sewwandi of Kalutara District Athletics Association won the Under 23 Women’s 10,000m.
Sadeesha Anusanka Fernando representing Colombo District Association won the Under 23 men’s 10,000 metres
