Lesandu Arthavidu of D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo won the Under 18 boys’ high jump with a feat of 2.02 metres.

Sir John Tarbat Senior Athletics Championship concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium on Saturday with Ratnayake Central, Walala and Lyceum International School, Wattala winning the girls’ and boys’ overall titles. Here are some action pictures from the final day.

Ratnayake Central established a new meet record in the Under 20 girls’ 4×400 metres as Tharushi Karunaratne ran the anchor leg to stop the clock at 3:50.88 seconds.

Shehan Dilranga of Ratnayake Central Walala was the winner of the Under 20 boys’ 1500metres.
Dulanjana Pradeepani of Wickramabahu National School Gampola won the Under 18 girls’ 1500metres.
G.S. Lakshani of Ratnayake Central, Walala clocked 4:51.21 seconds to win the Under 20 girls’ 1500m.
Hiruka Hansana of Ananda College Colombo was the winner of the Under 18 boys’ 100 metres.
Dinara Dela Bandara of Gateway College Colombo was the fastest in the girls’ 100 metres. Here she wins the Under 20 100 metres dash.
Harshan Chamod of Lyceum International School, Wattala won the Under 16 boys’ 100 metres hurdles final.
