Maris Stella College, Negombo won the Under 13 boys’ 4x100 metres relay with a new meet record.

Sir John Tarbat Junior Athletics Championship concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium on Sunday. Here are some action pictures of athletes who established new meet records during the three-day meet.

G.L. Swarnamali of Hewavitharana M V, Rajagiriya won the Under 13 girls’ 200 metres. She clocked 26.6 seconds to establish a new meet record.
Kaushalya Jayawardena of Lyceum International Wattala established a new record in the Under 15 girls’ 400 metres.
Nethsala Rajapaksha of Lyceum International School, Wattala in action in the Under 14 girls’ long jump. She established a record with a leap of 5.64 metres.
Mayon Rajasinghe of Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa established meet records in the Under 14 boys’ shot put and javelin throw
A. Samasthi of OKI International School, Wattala in action in the Under 14 girls’ javelin throw. She won the event with a new record mark.
Dilki Dewmini Karunarathne of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo in action in the Under 14 girls’ discus throw.
