Action from Junior National Athletics Championships

Under 18 Boys 2,000m steeplechase in progress. Winner Mihisara Gunarathna of Dharmadutha College, Badulla (2586) and second placed Kavishan DIlhara (802) clear the water barrier alongside their counterparts.

Here are some action pictures from day four of the Junior National Athletics Championship which concluded at Diyagama on Wednesday.

K.P.S.R.R. Sewwandi of Sujatha Vidyalaya, Matara won the Under 20 girls’ triple jump with a feat of 12.2 metres.
Yeshan Kumara of Lyceum International School, Wattala cleared 15.74 metres to win the Under 23 men’s triple jump.
Udula Nethusara of Pitadeniya Maha Vidyalaya, Galle competes in the Under 16 Boys 3,000 metres race walk event. He clocked 17:06.22 minutes to clinch the title.
K. Thevamathumithan of St. Joseph’s College, Trincomalee won the Under 20 boys’ hammer throw with a throw of 39.56 metres.
Princess of Wales College, Moratuwa thrower Keshawi Udeshani, the winner of the Under 18 Girls’ javelin throw in action.
M.B.S. Nisansala of University of Sri Jayawardanapura won the Under 23 women’s javelin throw.
