Action from All Island Schools Games Athletics Championship

Iresh Bogoda (758) of Sir John Kothalawala College, Kurunegala won the Under 16 boys’ 400 metres, while Sahas Fonseka (1331) of Maris Stella College, Nogombo and Rehan Pahasara Perera (1303) of Lyceum International School, Wattala finished second and third respectively.

The Athletics Championship of the All Island Schools Games continued at the Sugathadasa Stadium on Tuesday. Here are some action pictures from the second day. (Pix by Kamal Wanniarachchi)

Sithuli Sadithya of Lyceum International School, Wattala in action in the Under 18 girls’ high jump.

 

Shehan Dilranga of Ratnayake Central, Walala won the Under 20 boys’ 1500 metres.
Sayumi Fonseka of Our Lady of Victories Convent, Moratuwa won the Under 16 girls’ 100 metres.
Dulanjana Pradeepani of Wickramabahu National School, Gampola won the Under 18 girls’ 1500 metres.

 

Sanduni Lakshani (116) and Dinithi Samarakoon (117) of Rathnayaka Central ,Walala shared the gold and silver in the Under 20 girls’ 1500 metres.
Jithma Wijetunga of Lyceum International, Wattala won the Under 18 girls’ 400 metres.
Ayomal Akalanka of Ambagamuwa Central won the Under 18 boys’ 400 metres.
