ACJU urges followers to help victims of inclement weather

The scholarly clergy group, the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, yesterday urged its followers to come forward to assist the needy and affected due to the inclement weather that wreaked havoc in more than seven districts of the country.During these difficult situations, by extending possible assistance to those effected, one shall acquire the pleasure and help of Almighty Allah, and shall gain protection from all forms of misfortunes, said ACJU President Mufti M.I.M. Rizwe.

Rizwe said that it is well known, that amidst the prevailing economic crisis situation in the country, several areas have been affected by floods and landslides due to adverse weather conditions.The group said that it is well known that amongst the prevailing economic crisis situation in the country, several areas have been effected by floods and landslides due to adverse weather conditions. During these difficult situations, by extending possible means of assistance to those effected, one shall acquire the Pleasure and Help of Almighty Allah, and shall gain protection from all forms of misfortunes.

Therefore, during this blessed month of Muharram, the ACJU appeals to the wealthy and well-wishers, to extend possible assistance to those affected, through the respective Divisional Branches of ACJU and Masjid Trustees of the affected regions.Furthermore, ACJU requested those who wish to make financial contributions, to contact Colombo District Masjid Federation (CDMF), Kandy District Masjid Federation (KDMF) and ACJU Kandy District Branch to assist those affected.
