‘Aarya by Indi’

Aarya by Indi Yapa Abeywardena, a fashion show with a journey of decadence in Lankan folklore was held recently at the Town hall Colombo building with her spring summer 2023 collection.This exotic collection is named after her niece Aarya and embodies a sense of heritage that is inspired by ancient paintings and architecture of Sri Lanka and Indi stated she would describe it as a a reflection of the past to the present.

The Aarya collection encapsulated prints, handcrafted textures and powerful statement pieces from that the brand is known for.This beautiful collection had over 50 styles, from bridal to ethnic wear with gowns jumpsuits, blouses and exotic sarees.

As an entreprenur Indi has always want to empower women and the younger generation with the aim of transforming women into strong
individuals.

The House of Indi established in 2010 by Indi Yapa Abeywardena, a creative designer who has created a niche in the world of designs. A leading couturier in Sri Lanka,she has taken the runaway in style bringing together a celebration of fashion, design, history and culture.

Winner of many awards locally and internationally Indi has many years of experience and this entire show comprised her couture collection single handedly.

She is known for her innovative and artistic designs of which are made from materials that are ethically sourced from local traditional artisans making the House of Indi’s ensembles of high quality, and also contributing to the livelihood of local artisans. She is credited of putting Sri lanka on the global map as a design destination and fashion hub
